Greetings,

I am interesting in purchasing this model.
Power Color 9800pro 256mb.

Is this card as good as the Sapphire version?

Thank you.

In general, Powercolor uses lower quality components than their Sapphire counterparts. They are more prone to breaking down.

Having said that, a Video card that's going to die will usually do so in the first couple months or so, and Powercolor didn't give me much hassle when my card died. Sent me a new one pretty quick.

So you've got to ask yourself if saving the $$ is worth the potential hassle.

I believe Powercolor might use memory that isn't as overclocking-friendly as Sapphires, but I'm not sure about that. Someone else here will probably be able to help with that info though.
