Hp (h8-1010) when I install pcs R9-270x and boot black screen...uninstall stock gpu driver.
is this mobo compatible? bios is updated to the latest thru HP site!

Your graphics card should have these two connectors:

Are they plugged? I dont think that the PSU that came with that PC even has one of those connectors.

I don't have this exact model but I do have the (2) pci-6 pin connectors plugged..My psu is the corsair 600m which has these outputs
and they are plugged in...My card is the power color (PCS R9-270x) smaller unit (dual fan).

O.K. I hooked up monitor to motherboard...heard audio as splash screen came up but still black screen...removed VGA cable and hooked back up to
current graphic card...(monitor works...) should I uninstall current graphic driver (AMD Radeon HD 6450), hook up to mother board, remove card and
try re-boot..??

I know it's been a while but, my graphics card is now not in my system. I swapped vga cable,no change.
don't know what else to do except upgrade mobo/CPU.. also back on (06/06) (Thanks CPUs Master) you
requested me to get into BIOS..Hate to say this but how do I get into BIOS? Feel a little STUPID!!
