Question Power Colout rx 5700 red devil noise issue

Hi all, I have recently brought a rx 5700 red devil. All seemed good with it, it has been cool and quiet with games like mortal kombat 11 at max settings then i just played alien isolation and the card went into overdrive it was akin to sitting next to hair dryer whist gaming and i could make out what i think is coil whine. Does anybody have a problem with this card running very loud. Is this normal? I was led to believe this was a quiet card. I'm wondering whether to send this back as the noise level i just experienced isnt something i can put up with. My old gtx 970 ran very quiet with almost any game i played.. I wonder if a gtx 2070 would be a better suited to me?

Had the exact same 5700xt and it was loud and reached 80c temps I tried setting a fan curve but didn't seem to help, not sure if it was a driver issue. I returned it for a EVGA 2070 super and it's very quiet and reaches only 65c.
