Hi there, I am seriously considering upgrading my Sapphire Nitro+ RX 580 to an RTX 3060 Ti - I want to do this ahead of a CPU/Mobo upgrade - so I have a 650w PSU so I have x2 questions:
  1. Do I need a beefier PSU for the 3060?
  2. I believe the 580 connector is 6pin, and the 3060 is 12pin, will I need an adapter for current PSU or does the PSU have a 12 pin with it?
Thanks for any advice given. Cheers.

PSU is an Aurum S Gold 650w, According to the box 24pin, 4+4 and 6+2 pin... will 650w manage for the 3060? many thanks.
I have never heard of that PSU. Would get a better one. Wattage itself is sufficient, but get a good one from Corsair, be quiet etc.

About the connector, you can combine them for 12 pins so both would work, or you use the adapter delivered with the new card. Don't think there even are actual 12 pins around, at least not in that Wattage range...
