I have 980 Ti EVGA. 8-pin and 6-pin power connector. For 1080 I need just 8-pin power connector. My question is how do I change those connectors when I am installing the card?

Solution

most modern cases will have cable management holes

so you can hide the cables behind the motherboard

Okay, so I my power connector is for 980ti. 6 and 8-pin. GTX 1080 requires only 8-pin. So, what do I do with the 6-pin one? I can't just let it swing inside of my computer.

You can have a look around at PC stores, they sell the mollex to 8-pin connectors for cheap. If you can unplug the 6-pin from the PSU (might be connected with mollex also) and then just plug the 8-pin in the place of the 6-pin. If you can't unplug it, let it "swing" inside your pc.

Lol it is very dangerous to just let it swing. It can get into fans and that's it.

thats why you tuck it behind the motherboard

Can you show an example? What do you exactly mean by tuck it?
