[SOLVED] Power connector male pins on MB bent

The pins to my power connector (on/off button) are severely bent out of shape to the point where the cord can not be plugged in. As a result, the computer can not be turned on and is unusable. The warranty on it is long expired, and I talked to best buy and they offered to fix it for $40. Should I attempt to fix it myself? If so, how?

what do you mean bent? could you upload a picture?

based on description, you could be able to use a nose plier to straighten it.

x2 to that suggestion...just bend it SLOWLY to help prevent cold-hardening the metal and possibly breaking it off.
