Power cord always detaches by itself. Any solution?

I had an old monitor, power cord of which never fit properly. But now I bought a new one and it's the same problem. It just doesn't fit snuggly. And just a slight movement makes it go bzzz and turn off. There's plenty of space and plenty of spare wire.
Is there any solution? My new monitor has pivot feature and I'd like to use it -_-"

could wrap black electrical tape around the plug til it fits snugly into the socket.

I did. Yes, it's easier to get them back to work, but they still stop working all the time. Sometimes I don't even move, and they still go bzzz all by themselves and turn off.

no I am not kidding as I just replaced a 17"crt monitor with a 19" lcd monitor this past week. the new power cord fits snuggly or tight with the tape wrapped around it? does the power socket face have a crack in it?

both my lcd monitors have this issue and both look fine there. yes, they tightly fit

try another power bar or extension cord as 2 different monitors are displaying the same issue which should not happen, maybe 1 but not 2.
