ok i got my new cord. Its HUGE!!!
Whats the deal with it?

Is the cord the problem or the xbox unit?

I have not had any problems with my cord or unit.

So should i replace my old cord?

I have not confirmed this yet, but some in xboxes it's the power
supply, some is the cord itself. The power supply ones need the cord
with the AFCI box on it.

For the OP; It's something like 1 in 10,000 xboxes that are recalled.
That the power supply *could* fail in a way in that it could burn
itself up. If your power supply does fail, with the new AFCI plug it
will not burn up, but M$ will replace the dead power supply anyway,
'cause M$ knows it probably was defective.
