Hello
Here in Lebanon with the crazy economical situation, we are experiencing lots of electricity power cuts because our (failed) state can't get $$ to buy energy!
I wonder how sudden power outage can hurt PC hardware on the long run?
What could get affected? SSD? GPU and CPU? PSU?
Should I get a UPS? The noise and chemicals of these things are worrying me as I would have to get a 2000va

An outage....if the power just drops.....usually won't hurt hardware.....but if a drive is being written to....that can cause corrupt files.

Although...many times with outages....the power just doesn't drop. There can be voltage spikes....and these can be due to things in the circuit like motors.

These spikes will kill hardware.....which is why...at the very least I would use a good surge suppressor.
