power distribution problems

I have a pc and when i turn it on every component on my motherboard will turn on.Example the CPU fan will spin and the GPU fans will spin and my motherboard will light up.However anything else like the screen and my case fans will not get any power.Thus my screen case fans and my mouse will not power up.What may be the problems ?

pc speks:
cpu: i5 4690k
gpu: msi gtx 960 2gb
ram: vengence 8gb
psu:
case: nzxt h440
motherboard: msi gaming 5

are the motherbd 24 pin and 8 pin connectors plugged in from the PSU?
Sounds like you are getting some power but not all of it...

Which PSU is this?
If its modular make sure the cables are in the correct spots and that you did not use cables from some other PSU. (possible shorted 12v lines Maybe?)

Make sure you didnt use GPU, PEG, or PCIe 8 pin power cables for the 8pin power connector on the motherbd. Those are for graphics cards and are wired differently and will short out in the 8pin motherbd connector.
