[SOLVED] Power for R9 5900x

I have a doubt about the need how to power delivery to my 5900X. The motherboard is a Asus Strix X570 E-Gaming. I been running it for a month after upgrade from a 3900x and is not the the system isn't stable but I'm doing a full tear down to clean and now I'm wondering if I should add the 3 4pin cpu cable ( the bord has 8+4 pin for the cpu).

if you plan to overclock, then you can use it, otherwise 8pin has enough juice for your CPU
