I have a dell studio 9100 that will no longer turn on. My wife powered it down a few nights ago and ever since we've had no luck rebooting it. I have checked the motherboard over for and burn marks incase it shorted out but haven't seen any.
I unplugged it for and hour and tried the power button. The fans turn on for a split second on the first push but nothing after any subsequent attempts unless I unplug the computer again. I opened the top cover to get access to the power switch and I can get the light to flash when "shorting" the power button but that is all.
I'm guessing something must be up with the PSU or the motherboard did fry out and I just can't see any evidence.
Has anyone else had a problem like this?
