Hello.

I just recently bought this case...

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147107

I also have an Asrock z87 Extreme4 mobo and I everything is working absolutely fine. But the power button at the top has a little blue led light thats supposed to be lit up when the pc is on. But its not. My motherboard has a little 3 prong spot on it labeled PLED which I assume is what needs to be connected. I cannot find the female end of the plug that connects to the power button up top (which I assume should be connected to the case already) Does anybody know if I'm doing this wrong or if maybe I'm just missing the cable?

Thanks in advance!

Yes, that would also work (if the header is still good). Connect the 2 wires to the (-) and one of the (+). I'm not sure which (+) is the preferred one, but it won't hurt to try both. Just be sure the polarity is correct, or the LED won't light.

Are you referring to the super tiny single plug parts labelled PLED + and -? Because those ARE plugged in, but directly above that is a small 3 plug spot labelled PLED. that has nothing connected to it.

Either one should work. The 3 pin header is for cases that have a 3 pin FP led cable and provide status indication via the pwr LED. The 2 pin section of the FP header is where you normally connect conventional 2 wire FP LED wires to. If your FP LED is not working it could be because:
1) you have the wire pairs reversed (swap them and see)
2) the FP pwr LED lamp is defective
3) the MB circuit controlling those pins is defective.

LEDs are polarity sensitive. Like any diode, they only allow current flow in one direction.

But your FP wiring looks different than the normal Rosewill Blackhawk ATX Mid Tower. Is this not your case? http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811147107

That is my case. :/
I've tried the wire pairs in opposite slots, but they are labelled + and - (regardless both ways don't work)
At one point I had a fan connector plugged into the 3-pin PLED slot and the LED was working. So I don't think the mobo is defective. I just feel like I'm missing a 3-pin female end for that PLED slot. I could try plugging the fan cable back in and I'm pretty sure it would work but I don't want to use a connection for a purpose its not meant for.

Well I have no idea if that header even works now because I have nothing that I can plug into it. Ultimately thats what the problem boils down to. If my case doesn't come with a 3-pin female cable and just the individual + and - slots, why aren't those slots working? And also, wouldn't the fan have killed it immediately? It ran fine, light on, for almost 2 months before I removed it. I guarantee if I were to plug the fan cable back in it would turn the power led on again.

If the 3 pin PLED header is still working, then you got lucky. Page 25 of your MB manual shows you where to plug in the 2 wire FP LEDs. And page 26 clearly shows the alternate header is for 3 wire LED power... not +12V fans. But as to why the proper pins are not working, I can't say other than guess that you either fried something with the fan plugged in, the FP LED is not working, or the header itself is defective.

Does the FP Power LED work if plugged (correctly) into the 3 pin header?

What is it that I should plug into the 3 pin header? The only cable I have that's labeled for PLED is two individual pin cables labled LED+ and LED-. Are you telling me to plug those into the 3 pin header?

Yes, that would also work (if the header is still good). Connect the 2 wires to the (-) and one of the (+). I'm not sure which (+) is the preferred one, but it won't hurt to try both. Just be sure the polarity is correct, or the LED won't light.
