Do u need a phone jack to use a power line internet.
Powerline adapters don't use RJ11 phone jacks to create a circuit. They plug into your electrical outlets directly. Since it's a point to point or point to multipoint solution, you'd need at least 2 to pair together between outlets. Essentially, they send Ethernet over power lines, creating an Ethernet bridge that should be transparent (in the sense that your networked devices would be on the same subnet, LAN, etc.).
Powerline
Internet is
something totally different. That was a means of distributing broadband over power grids. Powerline adapters are what you use in your own house when you don't have Ethernet cabling between the rooms you'd like to connect.
