I would like to purchase a computer that can handle most games at decent settings and can also be used for work purposes. I am not interested in building a computer from scratch though, but I will consider swapping out parts if need be.

This is the one I have in mind: http://www.memoryexpress.com/Products/MX37273

Here are the specs:

Processor: Intel® Core® i5 2500K Processor
Motherboard: Asus P8Z68-V LE Motherboard
Graphics: AMD Radeon HD 6770 1GB Graphics Card
Memory: G.Skill 2x4GB DDR3 1600MHz Memory
Hard Drive: 500GB 7200RPM SATA Optical Drive 22x DVD+/-RW
Chassis: Velocity IW-C583T Mid Tower
Power Supply: Power Man 500W Power Supply (3x18A on 12V)

Could anyone please advice whether this power supply is sufficient for my purposes?

Thanks in advance.

a 500 watt PSU is fine. however that seems to be a no name manufacturer and unknown quality.

a quick check:
(3x18A on 12V) means total of 54 amps (54*12) a output of 648 WATTS?!?!?
b*llsh*t. it might be fine for the 300 watts you would draw now but i would not trust it 1 watt more.

AMUFFIN!!!!!!

lets start a you buy it we build it comp business.

in two years we each could afford to buy our own islands in the pacific. :)

Charge $50 for assembly, and an extra $25 for software installation. As for overclocking, that will be an extra $25!
