Power Off or Sleep?

What are the advantages of turning my PC off and putting it to sleep? And when I power off, should I turn off the switch on my PSU?

With past/slow systems I would put it to sleep because of boot up times. It does use more power than having it off but it's hardly anything. Sleep saves the session to the ram and may page to free some room, so with an ssd, I'd say to never sleep. Also after awhile temp files start packing up and the systems would get slow and would need to restart.
