So I've successfully built my first PC and every part works well except one small issue. I have an SSD with windows 8 on it and an HDD. The SSD and HDD are connected to the PSU with one cable (the cable has 3 power ports on it) and I can only get power going through one drive no matter how much I switch up the cable ports. Can someone tell me what I'm doing wrong?

The only other power cable I have is connected to the optical drive but I suppose I can swap those. You think the cable might be faulty?

Alright so I tried using the optical's power cable onto the HDD and the HDD worked but the SSD didn't. So I tried using 1 cable (shared) for the SSD and the HDD with the optical's cable unplugged...and it worked. Then I tried putting back the optical cables power but it didn't work. Seems like it refuses to have 3 satas running at the same time or something.
