There was an outage on my block, all the houses around me went dark, as well as all the street lights. My PC was on standby mode at the time plugged into the wall through a surge protector. after around an hour or so, power was restored to the block and after going to the computer a day later, it would not turn on. Is it possible the PSU may have blown a fuse?

Does the PC show any sign of life, for example, does the motherboard led light up? Also, what PSU is it? Is any other electronic device malfunctioning on the power circuit your computer is connected to?

Follow the electricity, make sure power outlet is live, plug Pc directly in outlet,
not your surge protector. Any sign of life ?.
It could be a blown PSU, it happens when the power goes out and back on.
