[SOLVED] Power Plan question..............again

On the power plan settings, in between maximum and minimum processer power management is ''system cooling policy'' where you can set it to active or passive. Sorry if it sounds dumb but how much of a difference does/can that make to the cpu fan ramping up and down? Ive only ever had it set to active.

Solution
The fan is typically controlled by the mobo so the setting doesn't do anything for most people. It's more of a laptop setting. Active turns up the fan speed before slowing down the cpu. Passive slows the cpu before ramping up the fan.
