Power question on build

I'm almost finished with my build and have a power question..I have a phantek luxe case that has a fan controller and LEDs. My phantek CPU cooler is plugged into the mother boards CPU fan power supply. The Phantek case fan controller has a tag that states that it needs to be plugged into the CPU fan power supply. I have several system fan power supplies on my motherboard. Which one should be plugged in the the CPU fan on the motherboard and which one needs to be plugged into the system fan?

Only connect the fan controller to the CPU fan header if you want it to control all the case fans as the CPU temps changes. This will cause ALL fans to speed up when the CPU in under load. Some find this very annoying and most manually control the case fans and let the motherboard ONLY control the CPU fan.

Thanks for the input on the fan operation. I definitely think this would be annoying...I'm assuming if I plug the cases sata power connections the fans would come on and stay on, correct?

Sata power has NOTHING to do with fans at all. Fans use 3-4pin fan connectors or molex connectors.

My fan controller that connects all of the cases three or four pin power supplies to has a sata power in. The sata power in powers the fan controller that in turn powers the fans.

Does the fan controller have a knob or anything to change the fan speed or is it simply a hub that connects alot of fans to the motherboard?

I called the manufacturer. They told me to plug the phantek CPU cooler into the fan hub and the fan hub into the CPU fan power slot. It working like a charm so far!

No problem. The "controller" is not a controller. It is just a hub. ANY fans you connect to it will not operate as if they are connected to the CPU header and will change speeds frequently.

If you want to avoid this. Connect the rest of the case fans to the sys_fan headers on the motherboard and manually set their speed.
