Power supply 24pin question (AX760)

Honestly it's more like a 'What the hell' as opposed to a question.

The cable seems ridiculously tricky to get into the slot on the power supply end, now that I think about it I can't help but worry I've done something wrong. It's currently in there 100% and evidently works otherwise I wouldn't be able to type this message but I can't help but wrack my brain pondering what on earth could have caused such a huge amount of resistance when putting it into the slot.

The little clip hasn't seem to go 'down' as it normally would although that could just be where the plastic has warped itself.
I've never experienced anything quite like this, I'm somewhat dreading attempting to take it out again should I ever need to switch cases.

I guess it's not much of an issue since it's in there and works, still just makes no sense to me why it would be so extremely tricky to get in the slot.

Can anyone shed some light?
