Power Supply, "always on, mod"

Alrrrrrrright, I've got a POS diablotek PSU I took out of my dell XPS tower, and I'd like to use it to power some computer fans for a little project I have planned.

When I power on the PSU, I get no movement from the fans... I'm guessing because the PSU doesn't 'activate' until it receives a signal from the computer/motherboard. How can I bypass this so that the PSU will fully turn on (including the PSU fan) with the switch on the back? I can't pin down a guide on youtube... but there has to be one for this, right? 😛
If you know of one, I'd greatly appreciate a link!

Is this information relevant to what i'm trying to do?

I know the PSU works as it powered the Dell XPS just fine
thanks

Diablotek power supplies are very very poor and have been known to explode.

Yes I know, that's why I labeled it as a POS and am only using it to power some fans ! xD

quotemsg=15449652,0,1830321]That's interesting lol, didn't know such a thing existed.
Anyone know of a way to do this via internal wires? [/quotemsg]

You could cut those 2 wires and siloder the wires together then insulate or use a butt connector.
At your own risk.
I would also question why fans use very little power your power supply should do judt fine.

I will test to see if the paperclip trick works, and if that does I will most likely end up connecting those wires.
If all that works, do you think cutting down all the motherboard wires and nubbing the cables would cause any problems (except for the 'jump start' cables)? Trying to save space
