My friend recently bought his first graphics card, a gtx 1060 from evga. But when we installed the gpu into the pc and connected it to the power supply it didn’t work. The pc didnt turn on. We removed it, and the pc worked again!
The psu has two 8pin ports labeled ‘PCIe’ so i guess we had to connect it to that, but out of all cables we tried, nothing fits. Are we missing something?
Psu: techsolo tp-420km
Gpu: evga geforce gtx1060 6GB

Solution
It should have two 6+2pin PCIE power cables they look like this below they can be used in either a 6pin or 8pin power port on a GPU.
