Question Power supply and gpu question

I just bought the 2080ti msi gaming x trio. This card requires two 8 pin connectors and one 6 pin connector. My power supply does contain all the connectors needed. The issue is in the cables themselves. Every cable that came with the power supply is 6 to 8 pin. I figured I could buy a 6 pin male to 6 pin male but nowhere sells such a cable, so I have just 6 pin to 8 pin. My question is can I plug in the 6 pin side on the power supply and then run it to a 8 pin on the gpu. Then the other connections would be 8 pin to 6 pin and then 8 pin to 8 pin from power supply to gpu.

how many budget do you have??

longer warranty and good quality. Mine have the 550w one and can handle the 2080 super no issue at all

I happened to just buy my current supply on Boxing Day so it’s new, I was hoping not to have to buy a new power supply. I did find a 6 pin to 6 pin on amazon.com but that’s going to cost me duty and be a while to arrive.
