Power supply cable

Was wondering if i needed a specific cable for my 750w power supply or any cable will work. In other words if i can use my old power supply cable on my new one.

New power supply: cooler master g750m

Old power supply:
xigmatek x-calibre series psu 500w

Not always easy to tell, I would not try it. Why do you even need to re-use an old cable, the new PSU should have come with all the cables you need for the connections it has.

If you are talking about the cable that goes from the wall outlet to the PSU, then it should work. If you are talking about cables from the PSU to the rest of your components, then no.

Different PSU models are all using different pinout. Many cables with same connectors can NOT work with another model as the wires are connected/arranged differently.

You may check with https://www.moddiy.com/ as they know pinout and compatibility for all PSU brands and models.
