Question Power supply clicking but not starting

Hey guys any help would be very appreciated... problem is as follows

PC not powering up when I hit the on/off switch. Well to qualify, it powers up 1 in 10 of the times i hit it. This appeared to be random at first.
On closer inspection. I am getting a clicking from the PSU but only after I first hold down the on/off for about ten seconds.
Interestingly, the mb lights are all on so some power seems to betting in.
My solution was to keep the computer on always, which has been the case over the last 9 months.
Now it's taking a lot more attempts to get it to finally start.

Any ideas.

The psu is a Corsair cs750m

have you another known good one to test with?
Otherwise, warranty or replace it.

That was one of the things I planned to do over the weekend.
Makes no sense to me that the MB is lit up but it won't start up the pc on the whole.

Let you know how I go.

You're talking about the on/off switch on the case and not the one on the PSU, right?

Yes, on the case.

Get the same result by using the start button on the MB as well
