Hello early this year I upgraded from an Radeon hd 6450 to a R9 270x. I have an fx 6300 six core processor clocked at 3.5 ghz. My power supply is a turbo link 500w psu. Now I have been having the problem where when I am gaming my computer randomly shuts down and the power on button on the front flashes green all I have to do is turn it off and turn it back on to stop that. But I have had to lower the amount of speed my cores are at to stop this issue from happening and it still happens even at rather low speed sometimes. Now I think it's the power supply that is the problem but I am not to sure. That is why I need help from people who know what they are talking about. I am tired of not being able to have my pc game at it's max performance and causing me to get lower fps than I should be. Any information would help.

There is a fairly good chance a new PSU will solve your random shutdown/reboot issue.

You might want to check your CPU and GPU temperatures just to make sure it is not an overheat thing but my bet is on the low-quality PSU.
TurboLink appears to be an Apevia brand and that would make it a tier-5 power supply - power supplies that are known to have short lifespan, unstable performance and in some cases, a marked tendency for catastrophic failures. You probably want to replace it with something better, preferably from tier 1 or 2, maybe 3 if you cannot get anything better.

Thanks for the answer. I have been planning on getting a Corsair for while and needed to know If it really was the power supply screwing me over.
