Hey all, it looks like the power supply on my rig just died, so I figured I'd come to the source to get a recommendation on a new one.
First off, I'm pretty sure it's the power supply, as my machine froze forcing me to hard reboot, and then would not even power on after that.
My machine is circa 2009 so it's a bit old, but it still runs the games I want to play. Quick and dirty specs are:
Graphics Card:
x1 EVGA GeForce 550 Ti
Motherboard:
ASUS M3N72-D
Power Supply (Dead):
NZXT PP-600
Memory
x4 Corsair CM2X2048-8500C5D DDR2 SDRAM (8GB)
Sound:
On-Board
Storage:
x2 SATA HD (Hitachi, WD)
x1 DVD
x1 Card Reader
Based on a thread elsewhere I was considering going with this guy (Corsair Enthusiast TX650):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139020
I think this should do the trick, but I wanted to get some feedback before ordering it, or perhaps get another recommendation in case this isn't a good pick.
Any help would be appreciated!
