Power Supply doubt..

Hello
I´m looking for some wisdom, to see why my video card might be under performing..

My rig:
FX 6300
1TB hdd
No optical drives
Asus AM3+ mobo
8GB hyperx Fury
Radeon r7 265

My display is 1336 x 768..

My power supply is 600W, no certification, no nothing (But, it´s a no-name brand and I think it´s affecting the performance)

I have played titanfall, and it stutters everything on high (Not even maxed out)

Same w. battlefield 4 can´t even play on High @ stable 40fps when I´ve seen other users doing better on 1080p..

Anyhow, do you guys believe I´m bottlenecking my system with the PSU?

Was thinking on getting this one to replace it, if such was the case

EVGA 500W 80PLUS

Thanks for the time fellas

Part of it may be your cpu, the other part may be the gpu (and the power supply likely isn't helping either). If I'm not mistaken, the r7 265 is basically a slightly improved hd 7850 (which I'm running currently) and it's not much gaming horsepower compared to cards like the r9 270/x, 280/x, 290/x. Especially looking at those games on high. Considering the lower resolution you mentioned it falls more on the cpu than the gpu typically.

If the power supply were the source of your problems, your system would be randomly shutting down. So long as the system is up and running, it's getting stable enough power. It's not as though 'weak' power from a power supply makes a graphics card weaker. It either runs or it doesn't. You can't run a gpu 'slowly' on an underperforming psu.

I would try either using a good aftermarket cooler on the cpu and overclocking it, or turning your settings down for faster frame rates. Also make sure you've downloaded and are running the most current video card drivers (drivers can make a huge difference).

I notice it´s quite stable on low load or games with not much graphical requirements, such like League of Legends but on BF4
hell even BF3 it gets some stutter from time to time, in that case it might just be that the PSU can´t provide my GPU enough power when it´s on full load and thus causing stability issues?

I suppose it could cause stuttering issues under load yes, but not slower fps in terms of a slow running gpu. I'm not a fan of cheap power supplies at all, they do tend to cause any number of odd problems so upgrading to a decent psu wouldn't be a bad idea just in general.

Are these issues during single player offline play or on an online server with other players? That can have an affect too.
