Power supply eco mode. Will it effect the performance on my computer?

Im thinking about setting my EVGA SuperNOVA 750 G2 power supply in its ECO mode for turning off the fan = Lower noise. But will it effect my computer in performance or making the lifespand shorter?

It will not affect your computer, it should not affect lifespan either (10 years warranty).

Why doesn't all go for eco mode then?

If you don't care for saving 2W of power while idle/low-load or the slightly increased noise if it helps to keep the PC/PSU cooler, it does not hurt to have that option.
