My computer's power supply has been noticeably loud recently. Under full gaming load its the loudest thing in my rig. Is there any way to turn down the rpm or should i just invest in a quieter psu? Thanks!

Specs:
Antec VP-450
i5 4590
GTX 960

Hi, this its a solution that will remove the warranty but it works normally...

Try to remove the PSU from the pc, open it, remove the sticker on the middle of the fan and then remove little rubber and put some lubricant where you removed the rubber, close it again and it should work again without any sound.

I did it with my PSU and all worked fine again and still does after 1 year from this process. Hope I helped you good luck 😀

thanks for the speedy reply! Its not a dust issue, my case has a filter and i already tried cleaning it. Its fan noise, not coil whine

I was looking at doing that, but i don't happen to have any lubricant on hand. What did you use?
