Hello Everyone.
I am coming to an end on my journey to build a pc. I will be buying a power supply and it will finally be over.
As most of you might be familiar with, I am well off my budget and have a little room for PSU. A huge majority of the youtube videos about PSU's proved to be useless as they repeat the same thing over and over (what is 80+, how do you select your wattage etc.) and none of them touch on safety, or which has newer technology.

Thankfully, I found this forum and jonnygurus blog so I have some idea what features I am looking for.

Firstly, I have a 5700xt nitro pulse and 3600x. I found out these parts are considered "modern" and a PSU that is "LLC" and "DC to DC" are important for longevity of these "modern" parts. So I guess this is the #1 priority. I also don't want it to explode, or make other things explode. Efficiency of the power supply will not make up the price difference in my country (high watt low efficiency costs less) so thats another thing to keep in mind.

According to jonnygurus recommendation for cheap PSU https://forums.tomshardware.com/threads/recommended-psu-to-buy.3603290/#post-21736677 , CV 650 "will do" , but it will also squeal like a pig.

( By the way, I just realized the first list says "ever suggest" . I read it as "I would never suggest" and thought CX was worse than CX-M and CV :screamcat:)

With the realization of my mistake, i found out that i have cx750 80plus bronze (https://www.vatanbilgisayar.com/corsair-cx-serisi-80plus-bronze-750w-guc-kaynagi.html ) in my country. Which I can afford if it will really make a difference between CV 650.

I guess theres also mwe, but they dont say whether its v2 or not, (but price is higher than CX 750) (its a common thing here not knowing about specifications) https://www.vatanbilgisayar.com/coo...2xeps-aktif-pfc-120mm-fanli-guc-kaynagii.html

But theres also another interesting point I want to ask. Yesterday I was searching about CX and CV and which psu's have LLC ,DC to DC . And found this post on corsair's forum.
https://forum.corsair.com/v3/showthread.php?t=197960 Appearently, theres an unusual amount of CX550, CX650 's exploding in Brazil. The thread is posted last june and last post is a few days ago.
I also found this video from a week ago
View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SFEEUVMU1_s
where I couldn't understand cause I dont know Portuguese. But at 51:10 you can see that CX650 in question is appearently the current one ( the colors are grey in both the CX750 i sent and this CX650) .

At the start of my thread, I was going to ask for some suggestions. Now I believe I should wait until CX750 comes clean, right ?

Thank you very much everybody !

I would ask you to see if you can source something made by Seasonic, preferably in their Focus series. I looked through your parsed link and I'd advise on getting this unit:
https://www.vatanbilgisayar.com/corsair-rm-serisi-650w-80plus-gold-moduler-guc-kaynagi.html

That will be good for the foreseeable future and upgrades to the rest of your system, down the road.
Thanks for the reply Lutfij. So I am trying to find this RM650 on Corsair's website to see whether it has LLC and DC -DC.
Problem is, RM650 in corsairs website has RM written in yellow, while RM650x looks very similiar with my link, only has extra x in it. Grey RM650 doesnt exist in their website.

Besides, when I check CX750 on their website , https://www.corsair.com/us/en/Categ...Supply-Units/cx-series-config/p/CP-9020123-NA , they advertise LLC and DC-DC . While the better series (RM's as above, TX etc.) (as far as i've seen) doesnt even mention these.

Does RM650 have these features ?

I also want to note that, power supply topic was the most confusing stuff to learn about and it feels like you can get scammed on this more than any other pc part.

Its almost as if PSU manufacturers are intentionally mixing things and misinforming in order to ...
well, what do I know about this anyway right ? 😄 hehe
Thanks for the replies
