I plan on upgrading to a 3070 whenever possible. I currently have a gold rated 650W Corsair TXM PSU.
I know they are currently recommending a 650W PSU for the 3070 , but I am wondering if since I plan to overclock the 3070 if 650W will be enough for it.
Anyone have any experience or know if my current PSU would be sufficient for the upgrade?
Current build
Intel i9-9900k (Overclocked)
32 GB 3200 G. Skill RAM (Overclocked with XMP)
2 SSD and 1 HDD

Considering GPUs basically overclock themselves as fast as possible, you're fine. And even then, at the end of the day, your card is going to be hampered by a power limiter which usually tops out at 110%-115%.

Should be enough, but if you plan to OC, or add anything to your system, future proofing would be 750-850W. IF you want to future proof, again it doesn’t seem like you’re going to add anything soon, so it wouldn’t make sense to upgrade, and yes, 650W should be enough.
