Power supply for gtx 1060

I have a 500watt thermaltake litepower. Is it compatible with a gtx 1060 6gb g1 gigabyte?

Yes depending on the rest of your parts.
That is a low quality power supply.

When/if you visit nVidia's website, it will display detailed specs on your video card(usually you have to click "specs - view full specs') & it will tell you at the bottom of the page the required power/connectors needed. Granted, if you have multiple hard drives, optical drives, etc... you're probably going to want to go above the recommended requirements.

The watts they recomend means absolutely nothing. They have no clue what parts your using in the PC.
The video card has a TDP of about 120 watts that is all they should tell you.
