I am going to build a computer with a gtx 1080 ti and an i7 8700k. I am going to have one hdd and one ssd in the system and the i7 8700k might be slightly overclocked. I need to know how much wattage I should go for in the psu and less importantly, what brand. Thanks in advance!

Solution
Your system consumes about 350w at a gaming load (source (it recorded 391w from the wall, so multiply that by 0.9 due to PSU efficiency to find the real system consumption)

I suggest a 550w to 650w unit. Any more is just overkill.

Don't worry about the brand as every brand makes varying quality of power supplies. What is more important is the quality and electrical performance of the PSU, which is found from professional reviews.

For your system, I suggest a high quality unit such as the EVGA G2, EVGA G3, Corsair RMx, Bitfenix Whisper, and Seasonic Focus. I could give a specific recommendation if you provide your location and budget.

I live in Sweden and computer part prices are mediocre and I would preferably not pay more than 1 200kr (120 euro). I think I am going to go for a 750w supply to be safe with potential upgrades in the future etc.

Well no single GPU system would really need 750w PSU. I only suggest 750w if you plan to SLI your GPUs.

Though here is a fair priced 750w EVGA G2: https://www.netonnet.se/art/datorkomponenter/nataggregat/modulart/evga-supernova-750-g2/202020.9009/

That is looking pretty good, also found a Corsair one at a 20 euro discount. The Corsair RM750X 750W.
