Hey guys, Im building a computer, but I dont know what power supply to get. All the calculators I used online tell me way different numbers, so I was hoping i can get some info based on the parts I posted

http://

CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor
Motherboard: Asus H97-PLUS ATX LGA1150 Motherboard
Memory: Crucial Ballistix Sport 8GB (1 x 8GB) DDR3-1600 Memory
Storage: Seagate Barracuda 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
Samsung 850 EVO-Series 250GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
GPU: MSI Radeon R9 380 4GB Video Card
Case: Thermaltake Versa H25 ATX Mid Tower Case
Optical Drive: Asus DRW-24B1ST/BLK/B/AS DVD/CD Writer

also, if I can get some feedback on a good SSD as well as motherboard, that would be most appreciated.

Thanks!

Yeah that is a good PSU - Rated Tier 1- which is good. This is associated with quality of the actual components the are used to build the PSU itself.

I will say that with the current build 550W is sufficient -but if you plan to add more GFX cards (or other demanding PCIe devices) you may have to upgrade.

700-750W seems to be the recommended minimum wattage for SLI/Cross-fire setups, just a thought.!

Although as I said for this build your are solid as rock. :)

thank you my man.

ANother question if you dont mind: the asus h97 plus mobo is sold out everywhere I look, is there a comparable one I can get, or would it be for worth it to wait for it to come back?

I love ASUS motherboards - I've only had one go bad and that was from lightning strike/no UPS= my fault! I've been using them for a decade and have never been disappointed - I would wait! Depending on how long? There are other good ASUS boards. Gigabyte would be my second go to, they usually make solid stuff. :)

And yes just to clarify, 550W is plenty for one card and your current build. I was just mentioning the SLI/Xfire stuff in case it was something that you were possibly planning on doing really soon or at all. :)
