Hey everyone,
I currently have the Corsair GS800 PSU, and using Sapphire Radeon HD7970.
I want to upgrade my GPU to EVGA GTX980 Ti ACX 2.0 SC+, and I wonder if my Power supply is enogh (At the moment I am not planning any OC, altough I do gaming most of the time).

Thanks and have a good day!

Yes it is 800W PSU, cool :)

BTW, does it count as a decent GPU ( I also saw the MSI version of the 980 ti, is it better?) I want to buy a high-end card that will be good for the years to come..
I've heard that in six months or so there is going to be a new generation or something of GPU's, is it worth waiting and not upgrading now?

I am in the exact same situation as you, and I chose to wait. The new "Pascal" GPUs, as they are called, are supposed to be very good, and even if they aren't, I'm sure they will soon release a "Ti" version of one of their best "Pascal" cards, for example a "1080 ti" One thing I am not sure of is the price, but we will have to wait and see.

As for your PSU, 800w will last you literally forever.

And as for your graphics card, this is the 980 ti with the best performance out there: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn98txtreme6gd

I have a little problem with the GIGABYTE GPU, because it's 2 cm more in length from what I currently have and I am afraid it won't fit in my case..
I added a picture of my case where you can see that my GPU almost touches the metal thing there where the HDD sits.. This is right before I cleaned it a few weeks ago! it looks great now :) and yeah, I live in the desert so a lot of dust :(

Anyway, what I want is basically a high-end GPU that will serve me for a few years on the highest settings possible in games (currently playing in 1080p, not planning to move to a higher resolution..)
If the gtx 980 ti will suffice, I think I will take it.

Getting the 980 ti will keep you running AAA titles at possibly 4k for at least 3 years. The 980 ti is great. However, nvidia is coming out with a new graphics card series, the "Pascal" series, which if you have not heard of you can google it.

As I was saying, the Pascal GPUs are supposed to be extremely high end. They will be released near May. If you wait, you may be happy with the results.

Back to the 980 ti, if you do choose to buy it, it will not only "suffice" but will really impress you. You will be surprised.

This is the 980 ti right here that will get the absolute best performance in games, which I mentioned earlier: https://pcpartpicker.com/part/gigabyte-video-card-gvn98txtreme6gd

Basically "Ti" is just a sort of "remake" of the card. It will have better performance or be enhanced in some way. The "ti" cards are usually the best affordable cards on the market at the time. Take for example, the 750 and 750 ti. The 750 ti was pretty much the best card of that time, until the 960, 970, 980 were released.
