Power Supply for Sapphire HD 7850 2GB OC Edition

Hi


I need help in selecting a psu for my system. minimum how many Watts of power supply do i need to run my system with graphic card overclocking. Here r my Specs:

i7 3770K
Gigabyte Z77X-UD3H
2 TB hdd
250 Gb hdd
8 GB Ram
Samsung Optical Drive

Currently using a Cooler Master 400W Psu.

Normal 7850 requires a 500W psu with 21 amps on the +12V rail. I'm guessing OC edition might need 10% more, so a 550W or better psu with at least 24 amps on the +12V rail should be safe.

Your ok with the psu youve got! Unless you have a half decent graphics card which i didnt see listed in your specs mate. If your just using the onboard graphics on your cpu then your fine.

For a single graphics card like 7870 you'd be fine with a xfx pro 550w http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/XFX-Pro-550W-Core-Edition-PSU-Bronze-Power-Supply-P1-550S-UKB9-/150971230719?pt=UK_Computing_PowerSupplies_EH&hash=item23269629ff £52 is a good price! If your wanting to crossfire then id get a more powerful psu , but the xfx will be well ok 4 what youe after.

Great this psu has a lifetime warranty right? i dont know if i will get this psu since i live in india. i will have 2 check with shop dealers.

Use this program to check how much power your system is using friend. http://extreme.outervision.com/psucalculator.jsp . Youll know for definate what wattage your system is using.
