Power Supply fried? Cant really find a category, but here it is..

Hey guys! So I was given an Alienware PC that was apparently fully operational. So a free PC? Sweet!

Now, after setting everything up. I press the Alien head (I guess its the on button) and nothing happens. Now, theres a little black button next to a green led, on the back of the power supply that turns it on if I hold it; once I let go, it turns off. Is the power supply dead? Or is the power cable too weak? I dont know, hopefully someone here has dealth with Alienware guts and such.

I'd say dead power supply is the most likely reason why it isn't turning on. The only thing I'm not sure whether you can support a 3rd party PSU or not. I would suggest calling Dell about it.
