Question power supply gpu

mobo: 3047h (with 6-pin power supply)

I wanted to add Sapphire HD 4870 1GB gpu (2x pci-e power supply). So i bought 500W PSU with 2x PCI-e connectors, but accidentally i bought a PSU which has 20/4 mobo power conector. (my mobo is 6-pin)
Do you know if this 24 to 6 pin converter wire helps me out ? whenever i find any converter cable like in aliexpress or smth. There is always like compatible with specific computers like HP prodesk etc. but i have HP microtower 6300

Yes , some of the power pinouts are different varies by the model. HP forums are real helpful with this. Give them your exact model.
