Hi
i had my power supply which was Logisys Corp. 550W 120mm Ball Bearing Fan with PSU ATX 550 Power Supply PS550E12BK, Black. And I had running for couple of months now and 3 days ago from now my computer turned off immeadiately. I tried pressing the turn on button but nothing happen no fan no signals no nothin. I switched the 550w power supply to another power supply which is a 300w power supply which came with the computer and it works and i tried the 550w to an old computer which also works. Now im confused is it because of the wiring of the 550w or what ?

I can buy the same 550w power supply for 24.99 but i hope it wont be the same that lasts only a couple of months or something.

Well there's your problem. You're buying an absolute PoS.

There's a reason some power supplies are expensive and some aren't - some of them work and some don't.

That Logisys is a PSU-shaped object that should never be attached to computer components if there is any possibility of it being plugged into an AC power source at the same time. Here's a sample of their offerings: http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/Logisys-PS600A12-Power-Supply-Review/1211/9 which isn't the same one, but I couldn't even find "Logisys" in a couple of different PSU databases I use; that spells cheap Chinese junk.

God I love hardware secrets. Just looked up my power supply, and apparently it's the best they've ever reviewed. (Seasonic X650.)

K then what about this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=17-171-046&SortField=0&SummaryType=1&Pagesize=10&PurchaseMark=&SelectedRating=-1&VideoOnlyMark=False&VendorMark=&IsFeedbackTab=true&Keywords=%28keywords%29&Page=1#scrollFullInfo

That's slightly better, but not much. You need to up your budget a little - a good 550w unit will be about $60.
