The 4 pin portion on my 24 pin wont go in all the way there 2 plastic black clips that sit on top of the 20 pin keeping the 4 pin from going in all the way from coming on the computer works and turns on but this worries me.
Any pau I had you would actually need to plug in both parts together at ones.

The pins on the side of the 4-pin part of the connector are there to help you align the 4-pin part with the 20-pins one to help you plug the whole thing in together. As mp5 said, you are supposed to put the two parts together before plugging them in.

Thank you this helped alot i had the same problem with my 8 pin cpu connector and i got it in by putting them side by side
