Using an ocz 1000w psu, yesterday i was running my computer just fine then it randomly shut off. I cheacked what was wrong then i heard quick buzzing noise so i check the back of the comp the psu led indicator is solid red and now whenever i reset the psu and turn the comp back on it goes from orange to red and nothing runs inside the computer, however power is running through it. I think its the psu thats broken i did thr paper clip test it went from orange to redHelp asap please :(

Well personally I like Corsair, but the companies I like best for psu's are:
XFx
Corsair
Seasonic
EVGA.
Silverstone.

I would suggest the Corsair RM 750 gold power supply, that's just my personally preference though. It's also modular.

There is also an 1000w version of it.

Another suggestion I would say is the EVGA supernova, I have used both of these psu's without problems so I'm kinda biased towards these 2 psu's.
just a suggestion. :)

-good luck

If the psu is less than 3 years old Im sure you can RMA it and get a new one for free. Sorry but I could not find anything or other forums about this. Im sure the red light is an indicator for something. Possibly a large current from your wall went into the psu, and the psu shut down to protect your pc. Causing your psu not to function anymore, Im sure warranty covers that. Your Psu is damaged in some way.
