I have had a corsair GS800 for about 2 & 1/2 years on my PC that is on about 16 hours a day for almost every single day those past 2 & 1/2 years. I was wondering what the lifespan should be if its used every day for 16+ hours at a time.

Heat, heat is the enemy of all things electronic. As long as your PSU is kept cool it can last a very long time even when being run continually (I run all my PC's 24/7). As SteveSkills points out, even no name PSU's can last a very long time. Things that will help your PSU last longer; 1) clean the PSU out, when cleaning out the dust from your PC, give the PSU a little attention also, there are heatsinks and other areas to catch dust in there, keep those clean. When the PSU is unplugged from the wall it is safe (and I recommend this) to put the canned air's plastic wand down inside the PSU to work the dust out. 2) Keep load on PSU about 50% of it's rating. 50% is the magic number where almost all PSU's are at their most efficient, it is...
I don't know about that specific PSU but in my case, the PSU lasted for over 8 years in similar conditions (the fan started to become noisy after like 5 years). It died 2 weeks ago, and it was just a Deluxe 450W cheap PSU that came with the Case. I think it varies on the specific build of your PC. If you are overclocking a lot and stuff like that, it might not last for that long. It also depends on the electricity provider (Here in Romania, I had situations when the power went down for a few seconds every night (my PSU cooler started to become noisy after this kinds of things)

My Corsair C?650 recently died after 6 years of use similar to yours.. I thought that was good going so replaced with a Corsair CX750M. I noticed their top of range come with a 7 year warrently.. so if they give a 7 year.. they probably expect it last 10.. .. anyway .. gives you some idea.
Cheers

Keeping the PSU clean, cool and not overloaded, I expect about 7-10 year lifespan from my PSU's (even at 24/7 operation). Will I get 7-10 years from them? That remains to be determined. I had one PSU that was still working at 12years so you just never know.

I have hp dx6120 which have a 300W PSU, I bought my pc in 2004 I've never changed any hardware, I just added 2GB Ram to it since a couple of yeares.

So my PSU age is 11 Years and it's a life :)
