Question Power supply making crackling sound when plugged in

Hi. I have a 15 year old 650w psu that was running strong abt 9 hours ago. I turned it off for the night using the switch on it. When I went to turn it back on this morning I noticed it was crackling before I even touched it. I noticed that it doesn’t matter what the power switch is at and it crackles whenever I plug it in. I also have tried 3 different cables and it is still doing it. I know the other 2 work fine as they are in use atm

At 15 years old, I'd try getting a new unit.

I second replacing it.
Even if you solder that part, there are other parts have already degraded.
15 years is just beyond reasonable to keep using it. The oldest PSU I have ditched using is 11 years old.
Proceed at your own risk if you do so, but I do not condone to keep using that PSU.
