Power supply or fan?

This has happened twice now. I'm playing a game and the power cuts out and computer reboots. I was pretty sure a smell was coming from the PSU but now I'm thinking it could be a fan because the second time this happened I turned the PC back on, one of the fans (near the PSU) wouldn't work any more. I was wondering what the chances are it's the power supply I was smelling or is it possible just the fan burned out and that's what I'm smelling? PSU runs relatively cool however it is my oldest piece of hardware in my system. The computer will boot and play games, and I should mention I tucked the fans cord behind a heatsink on the board and it's a cheap fan. No visible damage to the cord though.

Power cuts under load are usally the power supply.

Any kind of burning smell is bad, especially if you are experiencing power cuts and reboots. replace the PSU.

I just ordered a new PSU. So we can confirm it was the PSU then, does that mean the PSU broke my fan also? Thanks for the help guys.
