Power Supply Painting.

Hey i have a power supply that will not match my new case, so i decided to paint it, i just want to know if this paint i chose is fine. And if not, what will be.

I do not know about the paint but if you are doing this are you disassembling it so you do not get paint on the internal components?

Yes, and im gonna stay away from the capacitors!

The paint is probably fine, but blocking off ALL the vent holes on the PSU will be a pain.

Proceed carefully.

Well if I was doing the painting it would be a total disassemble and just the bare case to paint. It is not only capacitors to worry about there are heat sinks in there that can loose thermal properties with paint on them.

Be sure you drain all the power from the PSU before you open it.

Unplug it.
Hold the power button for 30 seconds or so.
