Power Supply Pcie Cable Help!

Hello im getting a rx 480 msi gaming x and plan on upgrading too the 1060 msi gaming x im getting a EVGA 100-W1-0500-KR 500w power supply im wondering if i am able too power up the 1060 that needs a 8 pin cable up with my psu thanks!

480 to 1060 is not really an upgrade. That PSU has 2x 8pin (6+2) PCIe connectors so you are good there.

However, that PSU is not very good. EVGA gold rated unit (#220-GS-0550-V1) would be much better choice.

Thanks all i needed because im gonna start playing call of duty games like older ones ex black ops 2 mw2 mw3 and i just want a good 1080p experince ty <3
