Hi there,
I have been happily using the system below for around a year now, with no problems. However in the recent sales I managed to pick up a R9 390 for a very good price so decided to expand my system, guessing that the PSU I was using wasn't enough, I also purchased a SuperFlower 750W platinum (on the companies website they recommended a good 750w PSU to run a 390 system). Having received all these components and fitting them yesterday I cannot get the PC to get past the windows log in page, it just black screens and the fans on the GFX card stop running. So does this mean when my GPU starts to ramp up to load in windows there is a lack of power and this shuts it down? I have tried my old 290 in both PSUs now and they both appear to be functioning normally, so is this problem with a lack of power from my PSU or is there a problem with the GFX card?
My current system:
MSI Z97 Krait edition
i7 4790k
16GB HyperX Fury
NZXT Kraken x61
XFX 290 DD Edition
SuperFlower LEADEX 650W
