Power supply problem

i went to attach the berg connector to my floppy, and i must have installed it wrong,,,like maybe a pin off...turn on the computer, and then in a minute , i started seeing smoke....i immediately uplugged the computer psu, and then looked that the berg connector wire....it had burnt one pin on the floppy drive, berg connector had the pin in it....and the berg connector wire had signs of the wire coating being open all along the wire,,you could actually see the bare wire...i then attached another berg connector to a new floppy, and everything seems okay..all components working right...is there any need to worry about this problem i had...

If it's working fine now, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

haste makes waste....quess i need to watch things closer...at least it was not on my 2 other high end psu,s....thanks...will keep an eye on things....it was a bfg 650...older model, like from the middle of the decade...i have a fairly good enermax in storage,,but i believe its 20 pin power connector...the motherboard has 24 pins
